Are your stainless rifles truly “stainless steel”?

Table of contents

Overview

The Model 700 SS rifles are constructed of 416 stainless steel barrels and receivers. 416 stainless does have some carbon steel content required to make the material pliable enough to efficiently machine and forge. While far more resistant to the elements than a pure carbon steel model, they still need to be cleaned and maintained like any rifle. If you have any questions regarding the care of your firearm, refer to your owner's manual.
