Can I use a bipod with my Sendero?

Table of contents

Overview

Many hunters and shooters would like to use a bipod with their rifle for stability with their shots. Depending on the caliber, this may or may not be a good ides.

With the smaller calibers, using a bipod should be fine as long as it is installed properly. If the swivel is tightened too tight, the recoil from the round will break the stud. We recommend tightening it to finger tight and then a ½ turn.

In regards to the Sendero in magnum calibers, we do not recommend a bipod. The recoil from magnum calibers is much stronger and more than likely will break the stud.  For these calibers, we recommend using shooting sticks that will allow you to rest the barrel for a steady shot.
