What type of rifling does my Model 700 have?

Table of contents

Standard production Model 700 rifles utilize a hammer forged rifled barrel. A mandrel for rifling is inserted in the barrel bore and hammered through to cut the rifling. Custom Shop Rifles as well as the Model 770 are button rifled.
